While addressing a meeting of traders and industrialists in Jaipur on Saturday the Union Minister Kalraj Mishra said

Government would soon come up with a new policy for the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.

Kalraj Mishra said that

his ministry was holding meetings with MSME- related organisations and bodies to come up with a comprehensive policy. Suggestions from businessmen of the state have also been invited in this direction.

Kalraj Mishra was addressing the meeting Prospects, Future and Opportunities for MSMEs in Rajasthan organised by the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI). The participants apprised the minister about problems the sector was facing.
FORTI president Suresh Agrawal said the requirement of registration with different departments for setting up MSMEs caused inconvenience and consumed a lot of time. He suggested that a nodal officer should be appointed under a single window policy to simplify the procedure. He stressed on the need to redefine MSMEs in today’s context.
Chief Patron of FORTI, Surjaram Meel said that a noobjection certificate from the pollution control board should not be mandatory for all units except the ‘Red Category’ industries so as to promote industrialisation.
Senior vice presidents Arun Agrawal and Kamal Kandoi and members of FORTI were present during the meeting.

Later, Mishra attended the National Small Entrepreneurs conference held at Birla Auditorium in the evening. RSS Sarkaryawahak Suresh Joshi ‘Bhaiyya Ji’ addressed the gathering and stressed the need for an MSME-friendly policy. The laws regarding MNREGA and inspector Raj were also discussed in the conference.
